I've been hearing about MUFON's Pandora project for quite a while, usually in the context of statements by James Carrion or the text accompanying interviews of him (which often state that he proposed and implemented the project).
For anyone not familiar with this project, James Carrion's blog included the following information in a post in April 2010:
followthemagicthread.blogspot.com/2010/04/goodbye-ufology-hello-truth.html
I've also read various references to specific sets of documents that have been scanned as part of the Pandora project.
However, little of this material seems to be available on the current MUFON website. Perhaps this forms part of the revamping of the MUFON website. It would be great if some of this material could be shared sooner rather than later.
The current MUFON website includes a page on "famous cases":
www.mufon.com/FamousUFOCases.html
That page lists the following cases:
For (I think) several years now, that page has had a heading indicating that MUFON's scanned case files relating to these cases "were" (i.e. past tense) "converted to digital format as part of the MUFON Pandora Project". However, PDF files containing the relevant scanned material are only available for 4 out of that list of about 20 cases.
I'm grateful those 4 files were made available, but am keen to see more.
I can't be the only one intrigued to know if the MUFON files add anything to the details and documents which are already publically available in relation to these incidents.
Taking one example, the list includes the "Cash Landrum Case (1980)" (without any link to the case file which was apparently scanned quite a while ago as part of MUFON's Pandora Project). This case was discussed in about 68 of the books I read as part of a project I carried out a few years ago involving reading about 1,000 UFO/SETI books. I've uploaded the relevant list of references into a table at the link below (which can be sorted by author, date and length of discussion):
www.isaackoi.com/ufo/19801229-cashlandrum-incident.html
I know the Cash/Landrum case is being discussed on several forums at the moment (indeed, it almost always is the subject of a discussion on one or more UFO discussion forums) - including here on the MUFON forum.
That case, for example (as with many others in the list of famous cases on the relevant MUFON webpage referred to above), has featured in several television documentaries, such as the one embedded below:
So, it would be great if the scanned files relating to the Cash/Landrum case and the other files in relation to famous cases apparently scanned into PDFs quite a while ago (according to MUFON's webpage) could be shared with members of this forum and the wider UFO community.
All the best,
Isaac

... MUFON moved its headquarters to Denver in the year 2000 and I contacted John Schuessler, International Director at the time and offered to volunteer my services. ...
As I stared at the rows and rows of file cabinets at MUFON headquarters, I began to wonder if the answers I sought lay inside. I proposed to the MUFON Board to digitize the paper files under what I called the “Pandora Project” and they gave me their blessing and financial backing. I spent hundreds of hours tediously cataloging the files and getting them in order for scanning and the project was completed within the span of a couple of years.
