I have a problem which has cost me more then I like to think about. I have some very difficult memories which I've done everything in my power to ignore. These memories go back over twenty years and deal with being abducted. Every time something happens to bring these memories to the surface; my heart starts racing. I feel a tightness in my chest and a rising sense of panic. I've spent my life telling myself they weren't real but every time I convince myself of that something happens to make me question them being false.
Some of the memories are of being taken. Dealing with grays. Being watched and shown technologies I don't even pretend to fully understand or even comprehend. Finding strange marks on my body; horrible flashes of driving and suddenly finding I'm not alone.
Sometimes I feel like I'm insane and really hope to God that I am and these memories aren't real. Unfortunately my sister and mother hesitantly revealed similar feelings when I brought this subject up. It scares the hell out of me.
Can anyone send me a link of people I could talk to about this?

What makes you so frightened? Whether your experiences are real or dreams, you have not been physically hurt, have you? You have obviously not been killed or taken away forever. If real, they always return you to your home uninjured. Keep this in mind when you think about your experiences. If one happens again, try to learn something about them. Try to get some physical object as evidence. Try to get the attention of another person as a witness to your abduction. Your next experience should be exciting and interesting, not frightening.

Hi Jeff. Although I agree with a lot of what you write, allow me to disagree partially with this one. You are correct that probably there is nothing to fear and that these experiences don't cause physical injury. However, besides the physical there is also an emotional injury that can be even more harmful in a way. Regardless whether the abduction experiences are the cause or the effect, people do experience emotional stress related to them and for this we cannot disregard them as completely harmless.
I understand very well and appreciate your response to emphezrha and your desire to encourage him to brave up.
Emphezrha, I would be very careful before joining any alien abduction support group. Many of them are designed in a way only to confirm your current conviction and fear, without even considering any alternative options. If you are looking only for sympathy and support of beliefs in alien abductions - then maybe such group would be the right place for you. However, if you are looking for real answers, I would suggest a more balanced approach in your search for knowledge - not only from those who invented the canons of the accepted alien abduction scenarios but also from those who dare to argue them. And to keep in mind that anyone, who claims one single answer to all such experiences, cannot be trusted.
If you are looking for the similarities in such experiences - yes, there are a few and you'll hear them all in a support group. Because this is what they do - they support the already established and help you to fit into the matrix. If you look for the differences - they are an ocean. Looking into the both simultaneously can be an eye-opening experience.

Actually alien abduction would be both physical and emotional. Physical scars + real trauma type symptoms.
As far as help, well there is a cover-up so your options are a bit limited.

Try to get some physical object as evidence. Try to get the attention of another person as a witness to your abduction. Your next experience should be exciting and interesting, not frightening. I'm not going to go into a great deal of detail as to what was done to me. However I will give you an example of my childhood memories. I awoke feeling like I wasn't alone. I couldn't move; I couldn't control myself at all. In my peripheral vision I saw a being. At the time it appeared quite large but in all reality it was maybe 4 - 5 feet tall. Dark almond shape eyes that seemed to draw you in and totally consume you. It spoke not in words but in feelings and in my mind. It told me it wouldn't hurt me that it was there to help me. I watched helplessly as it took samples from my arm; twenty eight years later I still have a spot on my left arm where there is a slight circular depression and missing tissue. Not to mention some odd readings and electromagnetic phenomena. It did something I can't even begin to understand to the left side of my skull; guess what I have a surgical incision there now in addition to evidence of something being done to me. The doctor's can't figure out but they know that something was done to me. It focused on making me an empath. It unlocked areas of my mind that I couldn't control then and even now struggle with. Then it made me watch. What did it make me watch? The holocaust and as I watched I got to experience everything that everyone involved experienced. Do you know what it feels like to be in a crowded room; bathed in sweat crying out to god as your children spasm and their breath burns in their lungs feels like? Can you imagine what it was like experiencing at the age of two? How did this help me? I began experiencing everything that everyone around me felt. I relived portions of their lives and as I got older it became stronger. When I began to influence others around me and learn to make them feel emotions then those that took me got really excited. They did more "helping" to me and now I can't drive without triggering light poles to go on and off as I go by. I've had electronic devices increasingly stop working and become affected by my mere thoughts and those beings who didn't hurt me? They keep coming back doing more and more. Leaving more scars and marks that the doctors can't explain. I've had MRI's. ECG's, CAT Scans and every other test you can imagine. I've been tested and prodded and diagnosed and what do they all say; I am sane. Guess what every time I go in they find something new; something I get questioned about and something I don't want to remember. There are marks on my body; there is a depression on my skull that has been shown to be the result of surgery. Every time I fight back; every time I learn how to overcome them they do something new. Do you have any idea what it's like to remember seeing a ten foot tall grey being watching you then walk outside the next day and find it's foot prints. Then as you try to take pictures to feel your body shutting down and realize something inside of you won't let you record the information? I'm afraid because every time I make any progress; every time I convince myself I'm insane and it's not happening. They come back and make sure I know it's real. I'd love to have children but what if they came for them? As for reporting it do you know what happened when I reported new technologies I was shown trying to be a patriotic citizen and stand up for my country? Two guys in black showed up to have a word with me. My home was broken into and everything I had gone through. I would love for nothing more then to wake up one day; be diagnosed as schizophrenic and it all go away with a pill. But mental illnesses don't leave surgical scars that no one explain. They don't leave blank spots in your families memories and foot prints and imprints of things landing. They don't show you technologies centuries ahead of human technology and they don't leave every medical professional who deals with sure of two things" something happened to you, and you're totally sane."

Emphezrha, It seems that you are really struggling to try to make sense of your experiences. You are questioning whether they are physically real or whether they are real only in your mind. I am not able to tell you, and neither can anyone else on these groups.
If this is really bothering you (and it seems like it is) I would suggest finding out for yourself once and for all if these experiences are physically real. Try mounting a video camera (perhaps infra-red) in your bedroom. Turn it on every night and aim it at your bed. If you are really abducted by aliens again, you will see them on tape the next morning. And you will see your bed empty for a period of time. If it is just a dream, you will see yourself in the bed all night. Try this and post your results here so we can all discuss it. I hope this will give you some peace of mind. I wish you good luck and restful sleep.

Emphezrha, Any luck or thoughts about the idea of posting a video camera to catch an alien abduction in the act?

Most of the time alien abductions aren't meant for the abductee to be harmed. Experiments ate usually done and the cause of fear is that what is happening is beyond what some people do not understand which causes them to freak out, thinking of the abduction to be a bad experience. When in reality it is a good experience. The aliens are helping us not harming us...don't you think if they wanted us dead they'd do it by now? Aliens are far more advanced than the human race. Your subconscious blocks out those memories because it knows you will freak out and even the aliens erase your memories as they know that humans fear what they don't understand....

I don't totally disagree with the first part of what you just wrote but how exactly is it a good experience?

Because usually the implants they put in your body are to help heal you...lol idk I have read a lot of UFO books and hypnosis books on people who have been abducted and usually no harm is ever done to the abductee...I get it, its scary but honestly most people are afraid of what they dont understand the whole society has made it that aliens = bad. So therefore being abducted = bad? eh...

I don't remember much of what happened during my abduction so I can't really say if it was good or bad. I do know that it caused me to have nightmares for the past twenty years so it obviously wasn't a warm and fuzzy experience.
