Hi guys, first post, just registered... I took several pix of brilliant Venus last night around 10pm EST because it just looked so pretty - not a UFO hunter here by any means. I used 15 sec exposure and 1600 ISO - basically a Night Sky preset on my Lumix DMC-FZ47. When I was looking at pics on the computer I spotted something weird. See for yourselves. Only one picture has this object. 2 pix taken before have a very faint smudge of something below Venus and 2 pics taken after this image have a disc shaped object above Venus. No image processing was used, just crop... Anyone has any idea what this can be? It kinda freaked me out a bit yesterday.... Attachments:

I really don't know what it is either but I have seen small black circular spots through my telescope when I used to star gaze. I did not know what they were but it did scare me a little because they were moving. There were about three and I did not even know what object I was looking at.

The full picture and the pictures either side would be useful, to see it in context. Could you post them?

The following 4 pictures are absolutely unedited but cropped because there's a size limit for uploads. Enjoy. Attachments:

Interesting. With a 15s exposure I'd say it's too clear to be a plane; were there any clouds, or perhaps any leaves or anything that you might not have noticed?
Definintely deserves some investigation, though - would be interesting to find out what it is.
EDIT: Have you reported it through the Report A Sighting function on the main MUFON site?

Hey. It was the most clear and crisp, windless night, beautiful starry sky - that was the main reason I got the camera out. Nothings to obstruct a camera view. I didn't report it through anything, just here. Plus, technically, I did not see it. I saw it after I loaded the pictures into my laptop, which happened within 5-10 minutes after I took the pictures. Doesn't pic #3 look like a classic disk shaped cartoon UFO 'though? It even looks domed and with a warmer coloration in the middle. I have no explanation. It is definitely not anything I expected to see that night.

Did you take the pictures through a window or anything? Can you rule out a blimp, lenticular cloud or similar?

Not a blimp, not a cloud, plane, bug, fireworks, lens smudge, etc. Can't rule out Superman though.

Could be... Randomizer, could you post the full-size picture of #2 with whatever photographic details you have?

How long did it take for you to take all four pictures? Did you just take them one after the other or did a little bit of time elapse in between the photos?
