Anyone have access to or know where to get a copy of
UFOs and Science: The Collected Writings of Dr. James E. McDonald
Copies of that publication could still be purchased online at the link below the last time I checked,
www.onereed.com/books/ufobook.phpMost of the content of that publication is now freely available on various websites.
In case it helps you, I'll give more details of the publication below, with links to some of the free resources/papers.
"UFOs and Science: The Collected Writing of Dr James E McDonald" was compiled and edited by Valerie Vaughan with a (brief) introduction by Richard Hall - published by FUFOR in 1995.
That publication is about 250 pages long and includes the complete text of several of McDonald's UFO papers plus extracts from various other UFO writings and non-UFO papers by McDonald.
Valerie Vaughan's Foreword concludes with this paragraph which
summarises the contents of that book:
"From the writing collected through the [Institute of Atmospheric
Physics]'s library and McDonald's wife, and Richard Hall's personal
collection of McDonald's letter and transcribed lectures, I have
compiled what I believe is a representative sampling of the work of this prolific writer. This collection is by no means complete, for the total volume of McDonald's writings and research on UFOs fills many file cabinets. This book is presented simply as an introduction to the extensive and incomparable contribution of James E McDonald to the
Science of Ufology".
I found this book to be a useful collection of material (and the
closest I've seen to what you seek in your question) and best read in
conjunction with Ann Druffel's book "Firestorm".
Of course, the evidence given by McDonald to the UFO Symposium held by
the Committee on Science and Astronautics in 1968 can be found on
various websites, including at:
files.ncas.org/ufosymposium/mcdonald.htmlfiles.ncas.org/ufosymposium/mcdcases.htmlIndividual papers and articles by McDonald can also, of course, be
found on numerous websites. One resource I've found useful is at pages
14-15 of the bibliography at the link below. For ease of reference,
I'll include the contents of those 2 pages (including, importantly,
the links given there) below:
