Hello
Came across this forum googling UFO Centerville Indiana trying to find if any other witnesses ever came forward with what I'm about to share.
NOTE:
I did find a report of a man who claims he was abducted from his yard in Centerville in 1991, which could very well fit the time frame of the following incident.
One Friday or Saturday summer night in the early 90s,
My father and brother was at Highway Springs pay lakes within a mile of Centerville Indiana when they saw, what they referred to as a UFO explode above them, then hearing and seeing debris splashing all around them.
In those days the 2 small lakes were over populated with people in lawn chairs from evening til sunrise.
Numerous people witnessed this,, luckily no one was injured by the falling chunks of metal.
Within minutes of the explosion the state police ( Ill double check ,, but I think my dad said state) pull in and tell the on lookers "it was just a satellite" no biggy.
Well my dad says no way was that a satellite and he is the BIGGEST skeptic you'll ever meet!
I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box,, but I would think if a satellite were to come hurdling to earth,, would it not burst into a bazillion pieces long before it were visible to the naked eye? I'm thinking as soon as it hit the earths atmosphere ,, and if anything were to survive to hit the earth,, would it not be scattered amongst a few states?
Do they not report satellites blowing up?
Is this common?
Would it not even be worthy of an article in a small city such as Centervilles newspaper?
Thanks for any knowledge.
Nothing was ever mentioned of it that we ever saw or heard after that night.
If indeed this was a UFO,, and they are certain it was....
Divers could certainly retrieve some chunks from the bottom of these small lakes.
They call em lakes,, Id call them ponds.
