so the way it stands, this planet is the only planet with oxygen, gravity and an ozone layer. i dont understand why we can't create an ozone for other planets. maybe a big dome on the moon filled with oxygen that houses a vast amount of greenery to create more oxygen. what would happen if there was a vent in the dome and we opened it, oxygen meets no oxygen. the escaping oxygen from the dome, where would it go? over time, would it not create the same effect as on this planet? if this was to work couldn't we do the same to all planets?

Well actually there are so many planets with oxygen, gravity and atmosphere in our cosmos. It just so happen that earth is located at the right galactical place and at the right solar time that earth harbors biological or mechanical life. Well take note that earth has 20% oxygen in the atmospere, so where will you get all these oxygen in the first place? And we are not discussing here yet the reamining other elements needed to sustain life. BTW most of earth's oxygen came from ancient organisms. However, their forefathers or descendants were breathing sulfate instead of Oxygen beforehand to thrive. I hope this help.

I remember thinking years ago that Venus would be great to practice on. The carbon dioxide would be the source of oxygen, the acid could be the source of hydrogen to mix with oxygen to get the water, and if we could get a mix of organisms to form a symbiotic community where the output of one species helps another to complete the cycles, they could form little bubbles of habitable environments until they could grow an entire planet worth exploring.... some far distant point in the future. Of course, they might have to be in the atmosphere where the heat would be tolerable enough for some bunch of extremeophiles, floating like a jellyfish in water. Of course, that still leaves the ultra-slow revolving and I suppose that must mean that there would not be the radiation belts / magnetic field, to protect it (just guessing). I suppose there are planets which might have metal oxides to mine for elemental oxygen, which could be used for the O2 and ozone, but I like having the CO2 to leave that carbon for building critters, or at least the plants to get the cycle going. Anywho, it's fun to think of how it could be built up from the bare naked desert to a life supporting place.
