I'm going back to the early morning, perhaps June 6th, when Bobby Kennedy had received the Democratic nomination that night in LA, right before he was assassinated. My brother and I watched it, then went to bed not knowing what was to happen an hour later.
I was age 20 and went to my bedroom in the attic. After being in bed for an hour or so, I couldn't sleep. Suddenly, an intense red light filled my room for a few seconds. At first I thought it was an ambulance, but this was way too bright and there wasn't any siren. I didn't get up to look out the window, now much to my dismay. There was no sound at all, but only an intense red light.
The next morning we heard about Bobby Kennedy, but also reported on our Chicago radio stations that a UFO had passed over the north side of the city and toward a nearby suburb, River Grove, with a river and that police had chased it. Those were the days when UFO reports were permitted by the media.
I can only speculate that this was something that attracted the police. To this day, I wish that I had gotten up from bed and checked this out. It would have shocked me to no end, but at least I would have seen something to convince me that UFOs are real.

Having grown up in the SW suburbs during the same time period, we were always hearing media reports regarding the northern burbs. Man, were we jealous! As far as being convinced that 'UFOs' are real is just a matter of trust. What I mean is in our civilization many of us trust the information that we recieve regarding religion. We read of written accounts in various holy books and take that as fact (the majority of the world does anyway). We also take an eyewitness statement within a court of law at its face value, meaningful enough for adjudification. So, temporarily suspending 'instant doubt' is the right thing to do. We should believe all the 'credible' witnesses who have come forth over the decades. The level of doubt and ridicule that's been fostered by the PWTB utilizing the mainstream media is saddening indeed. I wish a speedy end to this denial. But probably won't see it in my lifetime.
