Oil painting is the process of artwork with pigmentation that are limited with a method of dehydrating oil—especially in early modern European countries, linseed oil. Oil Paintings Often an oil, such as linseed, was boiled with a material, such as maple material or even frankincense; these were called 'varnishes' and were valued for their body and shine. Abstract Oil Paintings Other sebum sometimes used include poppyseed oil, maple oil, and safflower oil. These sebum consult various qualities to the oil colour, such as less discoloring or different dehydrating times. Certain variations are also noticeable in the shine of the shows based on the oil. Artists often use different sebum in the same artwork based on specific pigmentation and results preferred.
